A two day cheese gala organised with a “Blue” theme
This year the charity “Beyond Blue” will be in the mix of charities with a portion of the takings going towards their cause.
Great food, music and special opportunity for participants to celebrate everything blue.
Food is one of the main attractions of the weekend here. Visitors can enjoy fabulous food with 5 tasty blue cheese styles: Sapphire Blue, Blue By Ewe, a washed rind blue, blue brie style and port soaked blue. There are also several surprises as well and all are complimentary tastings. You can also enjoy all things “B” – lamb burgers, boutique beers, platters, potato and blue cheese chowder, blueberry gelato and more!

We are glad to organise this Winter Blues Celebration at the Blue Lovers weekend at Birchs Bay, Tasmania. The guests of the event can enjoy the best food with a special attention to blue. There are also several surprises planned for the event. Blues music is played all through the weekend. The Blueophiles can involve in the “birth of blues”. A full round of Sapphire Blue can be owned by them at wholesale prices. The master cheese maker Diane Rae will take them into the factory and explain the entire making process

The guests of the event will be instructed in the art of blue cheese piercing. After the training, they would be allowed to pierce their own round and place in the maturing racks. A tag with the cheeses name, DOB, parent’s name is displayed for the next two months. The visitors can enjoy a celebration lunch along with their ‘baby’ on the Fathers day! The birth certificate would also be issued too.
